Who would prefer our elections to be decided by popular vote only?

The Electoral College is undemocratic because it can reward the loser of the popular vote with the presidency. It won't be abolished but it may be reformed at state-level. There is already an interstate compact known as NPVIC (National Popular Vote Interstate Compact), under which when states with 270 Electoral Votes have ratified it, they will require their Electors on the EC to vote for the national popular vote winner. That would effectively make the popular vote the deciding factor in presidential elections.
